Title: Family-friendly hostel near Bohinj Lake

My wife says that the bathroom arrangement in the hostel was a bit odd. Having two toilets, two shower bases, and two handbasins, all within the same room, created an inconvenience for us.

The swimming, jumping in pools, and abseiling were exhilarating and the guides made sure everyone felt safe. The children had a blast and it was a great bonding experience for the whole family. The accommodation provided was perfect for families, with comfortable rooms and optional services that catered to our needs. We felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay.

My children wanted more children's activities organized by the hostel.

Great price for what you get. Awesome kitchen for cooking and meeting cool outdoor-loving people. Loads of adventure talk and potential hiking/biking/kayaking buddies. They even rent bikes and arrange tours and activities. Super convenient grocery store nearby. Easy access to bus station. Spacious rooms and decent storage for luggage after checkout.

Bathroom situation was a bit crazy, with everything crammed into one room. Showers, toilets, and sinks all next to each other without any privacy.

House Budkovic provided the perfect base for exploring the beautiful region of Bohinj. The location was excellent, with a bakery and cafe right across the street. The hostel had a cozy atmosphere and the hosts were kind and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised to find a sink in our room, which made it convenient even though the bathroom was shared. The lounge and kitchen facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the hostel offered a range of exciting outdoor activities and excursions. The private rooms were comfortable and decorated with tasteful antiques, and the views of the surrounding mountains were breathtaking. Another plus was the easy access to public transportation, with bus stops and the train station just a short walk away.

There were a few minor drawbacks. The wooden stairs were a bit squeaky, which caused some noise in the hostel.

During my recent business trip to Bohinj, my director chose House Budkovic as our accommodation. One of the highlights of staying at this hostel was its own beach. It was a wonderful experience to relax by the water and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

A bit noisy and the wooden squeaky stairs did not help in this regard.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration and general areas had a lovely rustic feel, with beautiful wooden accents and a wonderful smell that made me feel right at home. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy access to the bus station just a few steps away and the train station within a short walk. It made it convenient for me to explore the surrounding areas without any hassle.

The only thing I would have asked for to make my vacation even better as a senior woman is for the children working at the hotel to provide a bit more assistance and guidance. Although the staff was friendly, I sometimes needed a little extra help navigating the area and understanding the activities and attractions suitable for my age group.
